exam visual design
For this exam I was going to make a splash art for a riot skin (League of Legends). I chose for Akali and wanted to draw her in a new skin line. So I asked some friends what skin they would like for Akali and they chose the new inkshadow skinline.
The research:
After I chose who to draw and in what skin line, it was time to do the research. So I first looked for multiple Akali skins to use as a guide line and put them all together in one document. I did the same for the few skins of Inkshadow. I observed both for reoccurring elements, and read the lore about the skins

The design:
After I did my research I had to design the character in this setting. And with the character design ready it was time to focus on the colour palette. I noticed that every champion had their own colour in this skin line, so I had to choose a new one but it also had to fit Akali, so I went with blue since she is quite the 'cool girl'. I tried mono palette, duo palette and triad. In the end I chose for the mono. You can also see I changed the design a little bit

Time to make some sketches. I decide to make up to 5 different poses for this design and choose one of them, and made a weapon design.
